Kenise Barnes is the owner and director of Kenise Barnes Fine Art. Barnes has degrees in Fine Art and in Women’s Studies. She gained early experience as the specialist in charge of Contemporary Art at Christie’s East. In addition to running her contemporary art gallery in Larchmont, NY for the past 25 years, she organizes independent curatorial projects at museums and art centers as well as serving as an invited jurist, reviewer, and speaker for various institutions.

With a focus on unique and exceptional contemporary art Kenise Barnes Fine Art represents more than 50 emerging and mid-career artists working in all media. We have a wide selection of paintings, drawings, photography, and sculpture as well as consulting services and collecting advice for the burgeoning to the seasoned collector. In addition to their curated exhibitions that change every six weeks, they maintain a large inventory of work from artists’ studios in their on-site warehouses. As a professional art consulting firm, they also source work from a wide network of artist’s studios, galleries, and auction houses. They work extensively with architects, interior designers, art advisors, and homeowners to find the perfect fit whether it is an entire collection or one special piece.
