James Barron Art was founded in 2010 by James Barron, a private art dealer and consultant who has been active since 1987. The gallery specializes in modern and contemporary American and European art.
Trained as an art historian at Brown University, Barron is known for his refined vision and ability to juxtapose works in unexpected combinations. He exhibits regularly at art fairs including The Armory Show – Modern and Art Miami. His exhibitions “Homage to Kermit Champa,” with an essay by Karen Wilkin, and “American and Italian Art 1975 – 2011,” with an essay by Cornelia Lauf and an interview with Yoshi Nakama, garnered much praise.
